About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop people, overseeing careers and ensuring an inclusive and safe environment.
  • Act as the team's facilitator, removing impediments and promoting collaboration.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring scalable, sustainable solutions aligned with platform strategy.
  • Manage planning, backlog and roadmap together with Product and Design.
  • Guide the balance between delivering business value and managing technical debt.
  • Plan and manage the team's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor operational excellence: monitoring, operation and maintenance of systems.
  • Lead recruitment, capacity planning and personnel allocation.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and follow up on execution.
  • Provide structured feedback and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, aligning expectations and translating technical terms into business language.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience as a manager of software engineering teams or as a technical lead transitioning to management;
  • Strong background in software engineering;
  • Experience with distributed architectures, microservices and scalable systems;
  • Experience in cloud computing (AWS, GCP or Azure), CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices;
  • Knowledge of engineering metrics (e.g., DORA Metrics).
  • Ability to communicate clearly, adapted to technical and business audiences;
  • Skill in expectation management and stakeholder relationship building;
  • Executive perspective: synthesize complex information and extract key points;
  • Ability to delegate, mentor and develop talent.
  • Results-oriented with focus on business impact.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Datadog or similar.
