About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop people, overseeing careers and ensuring an inclusive and safe environment.
- Act as the team's facilitator, removing impediments and promoting collaboration.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring scalable, sustainable solutions aligned with platform strategy.
- Manage planning, backlog and roadmap together with Product and Design.
- Guide the balance between delivering business value and managing technical debt.
- Plan and manage the team's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Monitor operational excellence: monitoring, operation and maintenance of systems.
- Lead recruitment, capacity planning and personnel allocation.
- Delegate tasks effectively and follow up on execution.
- Provide structured feedback and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, aligning expectations and translating technical terms into business language.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience as a manager of software engineering teams or as a technical lead transitioning to management;
- Strong background in software engineering;
- Experience with distributed architectures, microservices and scalable systems;
- Experience in cloud computing (AWS, GCP or Azure), CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices;
- Knowledge of engineering metrics (e.g., DORA Metrics).
- Ability to communicate clearly, adapted to technical and business audiences;
- Skill in expectation management and stakeholder relationship building;
- Executive perspective: synthesize complex information and extract key points;
- Ability to delegate, mentor and develop talent.
- Results-oriented with focus on business impact.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Datadog or similar.
