About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monthly accounting close of the financial result, under both IFRS 4 and IFRS 17;
  • Financial statements and explanatory notes related to the investment portfolio;
  • Submission of regulatory information (e.g., FIP SUSEP);
  • Analysis and reporting of the expected credit losses (ECL) calculation;
  • Support for internal and external audits;
  • Reporting data to shareholders, regulators and committees;
  • Liaison with the insurer's portfolio custodian;
  • Relationship management with shareholders (local and foreign);
  • Assessment and monitoring of the company’s asset business model (IFRS 9).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Accounting or related fields.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, managers and other stakeholders.
  • Understanding of how financial markets operate and the characteristics of different financial instruments such as equities, government and corporate bonds, investment funds, ETFs, derivatives, etc.
  • Understanding of macroeconomic and microeconomic principles and their influence on financial markets, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial and market data.
  • Knowledge of the insurance and pension market and concepts of liquidity, solvency and reserves.
  • Strong command of financial mathematics and valuation concepts related to investments.
  • Knowledge of investment accounting and related standards (IFRS 9 and IFRS 17).
  • Ability to organize work and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, explanatory notes and supporting external audits.
  • Excel: ability to build and maintain organized, automated spreadsheets using formulas such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF and others.
  • English at intermediate level or higher.
