About the role
- Provide legal support to the company, advising the CEO and the executive board on legal matters, offering strategic guidance for decision-making, identifying legal risks and recommending mitigation actions to ensure business safety and compliance.
- Facilitate communication among the company's shareholders, coordinating meetings of statutory committees and the board of directors, ensuring alignment of shareholder expectations regarding business development and the appropriate handling of strategic matters in relevant forums.
- Manage relations with the market, participating in major legal committees in the insurance sector to bring the company updates on legal and regulatory matters, ensuring its participation in sector discussions and developments.
- Monitor regulatory matters by tracking normative updates issued by regulatory authorities to ensure operational compliance.
- Manage the team by developing technical and behavioral competencies, identifying suitable profiles for activities, delegating responsibilities, structuring succession plans, and promoting engagement and high performance in the area.
- Represent the company before public bodies (Public Prosecutor's Office, regulatory agencies, consumer protection agencies, among others), clarifying matters related to operations and business and ensuring appropriate responses to inquiries.
- Implement and enhance governance policies aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., IBGC, CVM, SUSEP, Central Bank).
- Deliver internal governance training for employees and leadership.
Requirements
- Extensive legal knowledge, especially of the insurance and pension markets.
- Knowledge of financial and insurance sector regulations and regulators such as CVM, SUSEP, Central Bank and IBGC.
- Experience with governance models and board structuring.
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Postgraduate degree in Civil Law, Insurance Law or related fields.
- Professional certification — OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association).
- English: Fluent.
