About the role
- Reporting to the Accounting Manager, responsible for monthly accounting including bank reconciliation, general ledger and preparation of balance sheet and income statement for a CPA firm
- Exercise discretion and authority in preparation of accounting records, including financial statements and other reports
- Prepare month-end journal entries and assist in financial statement compilation, reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
- Work independently on account reconciliations monthly for balance sheet accounts
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations in the preparation of year end Forms 1096 & 1099
- Responsible for multiple clients; ensure timely financial reports for clients and planning teams
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting field required
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred
- Multi-client CPA firm experience preferred
- QuickBooks software experience preferred
- Proficient in both Microsoft Word and Excel
- Act as a team player and demonstrate a positive attitude
