About the role Lead and steer all mechanical commissioning and testing activities for contracted mechanical systems according to the agreed Scope of Works Act as technical expert and advisor for the client on feasibility, practicality, cost and resource impacts Fulfill the role of on-site technical lead and coordinate information from equipment vendors, clients, contractors, and site owners Participate in meetings with client, consultants, and contractors to provide technical opinion and agree commissioning deliverables Ensure all relevant certifications and documentation are provided by contractors and vendors for commissioning documentation development Review, check, analyze, and provide opinion on design documents (BoD, OPR, mechanical drawings, schematics, diagrams, installation drawings) Support engineering and commissioning deliverables development with team members Develop, review, and achieve approval of test scripts and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) Develop, review, approve, and initiate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) or Factory Witness Tests (FWT) Ensure delivery quality meets client testing and commissioning requirements and desired specifications Supervise mechanical commissioning activities according to the client’s commissioning schedule and timeline Track progress through task completion tracking and provide regular status updates to internal teams, Project Manager and client Create and develop regular technical reports regarding commissioning project status Identify and clearly communicate issues, opportunities, challenges or risks to project schedule and resourcing Track and assess scope variations and collaborate with Project Manager to quantify impacts and develop mitigation plans Requirements Bachelor degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of OSHA (or equivalent) safety requirements Good written and spoken communication skills Ability to read and interpret mechanical P&IDs Knowledge of mission-critical design concepts Knowledge of power quality analysis Extensive travel (75%) Copy ATS Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
