About the role
- Shape the Cafeyn experience across platforms by designing intuitive, visually consistent features
- Report to the Head of Brand & Product Design and work closely with PMs, developers, designers, data and marketing teams
- Translate user needs and product goals into thoughtful design solutions from exploration to delivery
- Participate in discovery and user research efforts; translate insights into actionable designs
- Craft accessible interfaces across web, iOS and Android and work within the design system
- Propose new or refined design system components when needed and collaborate with developers on implementation
- Prototype at appropriate fidelity, test with users/stakeholders, iterate based on feedback
- Own the full product design cycle including QA, delivery and post-launch advocacy for UX quality
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in product design, preferably on digital platforms or consumer-facing applications
- Solid portfolio showcasing interaction and visual design work
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems
- Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, data and marketing teams
- Comfort participating in or conducting user research and usability testing
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain design decisions
- Autonomous, adaptable, pragmatic and collaborative mindset
- Genuine interest in media, journalism, or digital content
