About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with administration, monitoring, and maintenance of data protection and DLP platforms, including configuration updates, operational validation, and issue/change documentation
  • Support implementation, testing, and operation of Microsoft 365 data protection controls
  • Assist with discovery, classification, and analysis of sensitive data across enterprise repositories
  • Support data-related incident response through alert review, evidence gathering, investigation support, and findings documentation
  • Implement and test approved data protection controls and document results, exceptions, and operational issues
  • Support endpoint and network data protection initiatives, including deployment, monitoring, tuning, and metrics collection
  • Improve operations through documentation updates, workflow optimization, automation support, and recurring-issue identification
  • Assist with program metrics, KPI reporting, and management reporting
  • Support compliance and audit activities through evidence gathering, documentation maintenance, remediation tracking, and sensitive-information handling
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, and business partners while communicating risks, issues, and recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, systems administration, or a related technical role
  • 1–2+ years of exposure to data protection, DLP, information security, Microsoft 365 security, compliance, or related technologies
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, data handling practices, and sensitive data protection principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, endpoint security, data classification, or DLP concepts
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and defined change, incident, and escalation processes
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex enterprise environment with changing priorities
  • Preferred exposure to data loss prevention, data discovery/classification, SIEM, endpoint security, or cloud security platforms
  • Preferred familiarity with PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, or similar compliance frameworks
  • Experience supporting audit evidence collection, operational reporting, or security metrics preferred
  • Basic scripting, automation, or data analysis experience preferred
  • Microsoft security, cybersecurity, or cloud-related certifications preferred but not required
