About the role
- Assist in configuring, optimizing, and maintaining SIEM platform(s).
- Collaborate with the security operations team to refine correlation rules, alerts, and dashboards.
- Support the deployment and operation of platforms that enable risk identification and behavioral analysis.
- Contribute to the design and execution of processes for onboarding new data sources into the security data ecosystem.
- Help implement and maintain solutions for collecting, filtering, and routing security data to appropriate destinations.
- Work with stakeholders to define and enhance logging requirements for platforms and applications.
- Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within cyber data engineering workflows.
- Support the development of KPIs and metrics to measure program effectiveness.
- Help ensure alignment with relevant security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST) and support audit activities.
- Communicate technical information effectively across teams and contribute to cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise technology environments.
- 3+ years of experience supporting SIEM platforms and related technologies.
- Familiarity with enterprise log management and analysis practices.
- Solid understanding of data collection, transport, and transformation techniques.
- Working knowledge of SIEM platforms and their lifecycle, including implementation and tuning.
- Exposure to UEBA and other risk analytics tools is a plus.
- Ability to work toward detailed goals in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
