About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research and select vendors to solicit quotes and issue purchase orders of medium dollar value and complexity supporting USG and Non-USG contracts
  • Discuss price, delivery and vendor/supplier capability with internal customers
  • Researches and identifies potential vendors/suppliers
  • Negotiates price and delivery for responsible commodities
  • Administrates and maintains purchase orders in compliance with approved procedures
  • Establishes and maintains good vendor relationships and satisfies internal customers
  • Experience with purchase order file documentation that is fully compliant with all required elements to maintain a successful Contractor Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma and 3-5 years experience; or BA/BS Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operation Management or related field
  • MRP Knowledge, CostPoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to negotiate medium dollar value purchase orders with limited management oversight
  • Ability to complete moderately complex price analysis
