About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct statistical analyses using R for research, evaluation, and quality improvement projects.
- Clean, transform, merge, and validate data from multiple sources, including EHRs, surveys, and REDCap databases.
- Develop statistical analysis plans, codebooks, and data dictionaries.
- Perform power and sample size calculations.
- Create publication-quality tables, figures, reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Support grant proposals, IRB submissions, and evaluation planning activities.
- Assist with the development and testing of data collection instruments, including REDCap surveys.
- Collaborate with research staff, FQHC partners, and community stakeholders.
- Contribute to peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference abstracts, and presentations.
- Maintain data security and compliance with HIPAA, IRB, and organizational research standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a related quantitative field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a doctoral degree in a related field.
- Proficiency in R, including the tidyverse package.
- Experience working with healthcare, EHR, claims, registry, or survey data.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and quantitative research methods.
- Experience managing projects from data acquisition and cleaning through analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar electronic data capture systems.
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
- Commitment to reproducible research and data documentation practices.
