About the role

  • Work on building and implementing models focused on generating business value, actively collaborating with the team to refine hypotheses.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Perform data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure consistency for modeling.
  • Apply statistical methods for data exploration, visualization, and interpretation to generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Implement and tune machine learning algorithms and mathematical optimization models to solve assigned problems.
  • Monitor the performance of deployed models, apply evaluation metrics, and propose continuous improvements.
  • Document processes and present technical and business results in a structured manner to the team and stakeholders.
  • Support the setup of pipelines for deploying models in cloud environments, ensuring scalability.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Practical experience with Git and collaborative workflows
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud providers (AWS/Azure)
  • Hands-on experience building optimization models using frameworks such as Pyomo or Google OR-Tools
  • Knowledge of mathematical solvers (Gurobi, CBC, GLPK, SCIP, etc.)
  • Experience with optimization problems, with emphasis on linear programming (LP) and/or mixed-integer linear programming (MILP)
  • Knowledge of time series modeling and forecasting techniques
  • Strong knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactively seek technical solutions, and communicate effectively with team members.
