About the role
- Provide engineering support of Military Sealift Command (MSC) on various transportation alteration (Transalt) work
- Ensures that NAVSEA/NSWC/MSC Clients receive accurate technical advice in a timely fashion
- Fosters a strong mentorship culture so that junior employees receive training
- Desire to develop into a Subject Matter Expert in electrical engineering
- Supports strategic opportunities for growth in the Naval Engineering marketspace
- Ability to support specific areas in proposals and targeted growth areas
Requirements
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Engineering (BSE/BE)
- BS/AS in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or marine engineering;
- 8-15 years of experience
- Five years of experience in US Naval Ship Engineering
- MSC Transalt experience; shipchecks, package development, quality assurance, redlines
- Experience reading and creating drawings using AutoCAD.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in fast-paced work environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to speak and write clearly in English.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- U.S. Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility.
