About the role
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain ServiceNow HAM capability and integrations
- Configure HAM including workflows, Flow Designer, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, and custom applications
- Implement and maintain HAM capabilities such as asset lifecycle management, procurement, inventory, refresh, and disposal processes
- Develop and enhance Service Portal components for self-service asset requests, tracking, and reporting
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the CMDB for all hardware assets, including CI relationships and attributes
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow HAM and external systems, inventory management systems and discovery tools using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and data sources
- Collaborate with ITAM, Operations, Procurement, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Identify opportunities for automation within the HAM lifecycle and improve existing processes
- Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, health checks, performance tuning, and platform upgrades
- Create and maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
- 12+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)
- Proven expertise in ServiceNow platform development, including JavaScript, UI Actions, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Workflows, and Flow Designer
- In-depth understanding and practical experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM, and ITAM modules
- Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow HAM implementation and configuration
- Proficiency in integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and MID Servers
- Experience with Service Portal development
- Solid understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles and the hardware asset lifecycle (procurement, deployment, in-use, refresh, disposal)
- Familiarity with asset discovery methods and tools
- Desired: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ServiceNow CAD, CIS-ITAM, CSA, ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundation; experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, data migrations, Agile/Scrum
