About the role
- Support software development and engineering, operations and maintenance (O&M) and research and development (R&D) for AF C2 & ISR related research, studies, analysis, operations
- Increase mission effectiveness, improve information security, and implement new and emerging information access, processing, analysis and dissemination technologies
- Operate in all phases of the application lifecycle
- Use of industry proven design patterns and open-source tools is encouraged
- Provide design and development expertise in support of both new application development tasks and maintenance
- Be part of an agile team where communication skills and the ability to execute within the established development process are paramount
- Support the entire product lifecycle to include systems engineering and requirement analysis, technical design, system integration, implementation, and deployment
Requirements
- 5-7 + years experience with software development, (e.g., Java (J2EE), JavaScript, Spring, etc.) as part of a development team utilizing strict configuration management practices (e.g., git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, GitHub )
- US Citizen clearable to TS/SCI (We can hire while the clearance is processed) 1+ years experience with web application development to include ( JavaScrip t, Node.js, Angular or React)
- Experience with industry standard build, packaging, and deployment tools such as (Gitlab, Maven, Yum, NPM, and RPM)
- Intermediate debugging and run time skills needed
- Experience using AGILE SCRUM or other similar methodology (XP) preferred
- Ability to work on site weekly in Omaha, NE or Hampton, VA with a hybrid schedule
- Experience in containerization for development and cloud deployment. (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack) (Desired)
- Calibra (Desired)
- Linux experience (Desired)
- Experience with DevSecOps and/or CI/CD (Desired)
- Experience in designing and developing RESTful interfaces (Desired)
- Experience with a major cloud provider, (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) (Desired)
