About the role
- Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that support organizational growth and innovation.
- Translate executive-level goals into actionable development plans, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
- Identify new opportunities for expansion, optimization, or improvement across development functions.
- Provide thought leadership and subject-matter expertise to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and individual contributors.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and support professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and accountability-driven team culture.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders related to development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations, and technical teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior leadership.
- Align development efforts with organizational priorities and resource availability.
- Develop and manage budgets for development initiatives and teams.
- Monitor financial performance, forecasts, and return on investment.
- Support contract negotiations and vendor management as needed.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources, tools, and vendor partnerships.
- Establish and refine development processes, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Leverage data, metrics, and reporting to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required, preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines.
- Master's degree in Computer Science preferred.
- 10-12 years of related progressively responsible Information Technology experience, including 1 to 2 years of supervisory and/or management experience.
- Proven experience leading large-scale initiatives and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing budgets and complex timelines.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
- ITIL Certification.
- Multiple ServiceNow Certifications including ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- Experience working in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with agile, waterfall, or hybrid development methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into action.
- Ability to influence without authority and navigate organizational complexity.
