Business Sales Manager – Field
Cable ONEBusiness Sales Manager overseeing local Business Sales department management at Cable One and its brands. Responsible for sales personnel management, revenue budgets, and community engagement.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervises sales, and sales engineering personnel.
- Requires emphasis on salesperson motivation, development, and performance.
- Works with associates to consistently track and evaluate sales and performance against goals and proactively makes changes as needed.
- Works with department management to recruit qualified sales staff through optimum techniques in interviewing, compensation, training, development, goal setting, motivation, performance evaluations, behavior counseling and termination.
- Creates budgets and executes business sales functions in all systems within a sales territory.
- Creates capital and operating budgets and forecasts.
- Monitors, controls, and assumes total profit and loss responsibility for meeting revenue and cash flow performance.
- Collaborates with all levels of system and corporate management to achieve local and company objectives.
- Operates business sales department within system/company guidelines.
- Participates in community activities and establishes relationships with local business leaders.
- Provides the highest standard of quality, commitment, and courtesy in dealing with customers, associates, and industry colleagues.
- Promotes a learning-based, accountable organization through communication, training, and team building.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Current driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and good driving record.
- Prefer sales management experience.
- Desire to help build dynamic, competitive, performance-oriented business sales region.
- Superior motivational and leadership skills.
- Well organized, self-motivated, professional appearance, goal-oriented with a positive attitude.
