About the role
- Participate in organizing the reception of children and families
- Ensure each child’s adaptation and well-being, respecting their individual rhythms and needs.
- Build a relationship of trust with families.
- Promote children's integration into the group and support their psychomotor and emotional development.
- Participate in the operational management of the facility.
- Ensure continuity of leadership in the director’s absence (schedules, absences, orders, etc.).
- Master early childhood regulations (hygiene, safety, HACCP) and ensure their application.
- Implement an establishment project consistent with the site and with the childcare policy developed by the Early Childhood Department.
- Monitor and co-develop the project with frontline teams, the field early childhood educator (EJE), the director and the psychologist.
- Translate educational, pedagogical and sustainable development projects into concrete actions.
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team.
- Foster reflective practice through moments of exchange, listening and supervision with the team, in coordination with the service psychologist.
- Observe and support children and professionals during daily activities.
- Participate in the training of interns and new staff.
- Ensure the application of best practices and respect for the principles of respectful care (bientraitance).
Requirements
- State diploma as an Early Childhood Educator (EJE) or as a Registered Nurse.
- In-depth knowledge of young children’s needs and of the regulatory framework for public early childhood policy.
- Comfortable leading projects and translating them into concrete actions on the ground.
- Ability to support teams in work organization, schedule management and conflict resolution.
- Strong communication skills, ability to conduct meetings, welcome families and work in partnership.
- Availability, adaptability and responsiveness to unforeseen events and changing needs; professional discretion.
- Team spirit and the ability to support and sustain a team.
