Data Analyst – Procurement

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and consolidate strategic information from the client's historical procurement databases, ABC item lists, suppliers, latest prices, purchase frequencies, etc.
- Structure, organize and standardize databases, maximizing extractable information for recurring analyses and accurate decision-making.
- Perform accurate calculations including quotation analyses, cross-referencing information with the client's database, and presenting result analyses.
- Develop analytical reports and support materials for the Procurement area, proactively identifying improvement opportunities based on data.
- Generate insights from analyzed data, suggesting new quotation packages, supporting decisions and assisting negotiations when necessary.
- Work with a significant volume of information, ensuring quality, consistency and agility in analyses.
- Use the client's corporate systems, quickly adapting to business flows and rules.
- Participate in validating the monthly results reported by the client, cross-checking data and performing internal audits of the closing results.
- Be open to working part-time as a full purchaser, developing in the role and being responsible for a purchasing group, supplier management and seeking cost-reduction opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to transform information into analyses, KPIs and results.
- Analytical profile, logical reasoning and attention to detail.
- Understanding of the buyer's role within an organization.
- Familiarity, especially with the routines of buyers in indirect procurement.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Procurement (particularly indirect procurement).
- Understanding of negotiation dynamics and purchasing processes, with the ability to provide support when necessary.
- Familiarity with typical procurement metrics and information (spend, savings, supplier base, contracts, purchase requisition management, inbound/outbound, service performance, etc.).
- Experience with corporate systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and internal tools.
