About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing software development and maintenance
Responsible for activities associated with delivery of software solutions associated with customer-defined systems
Designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities
Acting as a member of a product team supporting teammates and collaborating to ensure product success
Providing improvements to the product(s) being supported
Actively participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, testing, demonstrations, and retrospectives
Supporting release planning with conceptual design and development/refinement of software engineering guidelines
Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions
Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work
Providing mentoring to junior members of the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years related technical experience in software design, development, and implementation in a containerized Linux environment
U.S. Citizenship is required
Candidate must have an Active CBP Public Trust
College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or related discipline
Demonstrable experience with Python, PostgreSQL, Java Spring Boot, Angular, microservices architecture, and AWS
In-depth knowledge of the Angular Framework (TypeScript, Angular Material)
Expert experience in programming languages/libraries: Python, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Experience developing and maintaining Python applications or backend services in an enterprise environment
Familiarity with common Python frameworks and libraries
Object-oriented design and development (OODD) expertise, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)
