About the role
- Ensure individual plant teams are executing expected actions to meet corporate objectives
- Manages assigned plant FS-Q managers, and interacts with operations, R&D, and other relevant teams to implement the company’s strategic plan that encompasses all aspects of food safety and quality.
- Coaches plant FS-Q managers to ensure they perform according with strategic and the tactical/milestones necessary to achieve operational goals.
- Ensures facilities are audit ready all of the time (third party, customer, regulatory, etc.)
- Manages key customer QA relationships in conjunction with sales personnel.
- Support and coach Plant FS-Q Managers for administering the department’s budget to ensure proper allocation of resources.
- Assess and manages plant resources to ensure the QA and Food Safety KPI goals are achieved for the manufacturing plants under its purview.
Requirements
- B.S. Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, etc.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience including Quality Management Systems and/or Manufacturing experience.
- Prefer experience in a tortilla production environment.
- Strong background in sanitation principles and practices, GFSI approved schemes (SQF, BRC), HACCP, GMPs, Safety and SPC.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
