• Lead and support plant teams in meeting corporate objectives and achieving KPIs related to food safety and quality
• Manage and mentor Plant FSQA Managers to foster collaboration across facilities and drive a culture of high expectations throughout the organization
• Standardize quality management system and ensure the effective implementation of sanitation best practices and GFSI audit standards
• Serve as the backup BRC/SQF facility lead when needed
• Collaborate with the sales team to manage customer QA relationships, ensuring all customer FSQA requirements are met and maintained
• Oversee the quality assurance process, including internal assessments and audits of the quality system
• Manage non-conforming products, dispositions, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Accountable for analyzing and interpreting food safety data sets to identify trends and areas of improvement in food safety performance
• Drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives based on analytics
• Partner with the food safety leadership team to identify opportunities for automation in food safety processes and procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by leveraging expertise in interpreting the FDA regulations, the Food Safety Modernization Act, and local regulations related to food products, manufacturing, and packaging
• Handle additional responsibilities such as managing customer complaints, leading corrective and preventive actions, and reporting on key performance indicators to leadership
• Performs all other duties as assigned
