About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You’ll lead the end-to-end technical delivery of high-profile integrations, building the "connectors" that allow Clever to talk to a school’s most critical systems with high reliability and security.
You will act as the technical bridge between school IT leaders and Clever’s internal Product and Engineering teams, gathering requirements and translating them into custom solutions.
Success is measured by the seamless deployment of data pipelines, high-quality technical documentation (like SOWs and integration guides), and achieving high platform stability for the districts you support.
You’ll design and implement custom integrations using JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL, lead technical discovery workshops with strategic partners, and help to develop the documentation for this team’s workflows.

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of total experience in ETL Engineering, Integration Engineering, or Software Engineering roles.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL.
Proven ability to work directly with external partners or clients to gather technical requirements, present solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
Experience building API integrations, managing data imports/exports, and designing technical solutions for complex data flows.
A reliable team player who is skilled at breaking down complex problems and finding practical, scalable solutions.
You are energized by ambiguity and the opportunity to help shape how an emerging team operates.
