About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain go-to-market analytics supporting, tracking, and growing core and new product initiatives across retailers and channels, with a focus on Albertsons
  • Provide analytics and insights to optimize pricing, promotion, distribution, and shelf placement
  • Participate in business review analyses and maintain actionable category management tools
  • Define and implement a business intelligence strategy aligned with the Insights Pillar vision
  • Support 1–5 top clients through reporting, retailer category reviews, and client/retailer performance analysis
  • Drive use of SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, Mintel, and other data sources to identify business opportunities
  • Develop and execute category management strategies aligned with client KPIs and merchandising principles
  • Create fact-based category reviews, business reviews, and selling stories using shopper, distributor, syndicated, and consumer insights
  • Lead and present business reviews and strategic recommendations to clients and retailers
  • Partner with sales teams on account presentations involving new items, share of shelf, and assortment strategies
  • Conduct post-promotional analyses to optimize planning and ROI
  • Partner with internal category management, sales, and marketing teams
  • Refine reporting, distribution-void identification, and opportunity-gap quantification methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of CPG industry experience, preferably in Natural/Specialty/Organic food and beverage
  • Advanced proficiency in SymphonyAI (Shopper360), SPINS (Satori), Nielsen, IRI, and other data platforms
  • Expertise in selling story development, category reviews, and category management principles
  • Highly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for data storytelling
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Track record of implementing scalable processes to improve reporting, analytics, and team productivity
  • Strong ability to translate data-driven insights into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment focused on continuous improvement and impact
  • 10–20% travel to present to clients
  • Albertsons experience, SymphonyAI experience, extensive Nielsen experience, and experience presenting to retailers are stated as ways to stand out
