Partner with managers and non-exempt employees within In-Store/Retail pillars across the employee lifecycle including talent management, performance management, onboarding/offboarding, and employee relations
Ensure effective delivery of People Programs for ~350+ retail employees
Coach managers through employee situations and advise on performance management/progressive discipline best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional People Business Partners on talent needs and business-driven initiatives
Develop proposals and recommendations to resolve strategically important HR or business issues
Resolve personnel grievances, retain talent, and ensure compliance with employment regulations
Minimal overnight travel (<10%) for People Team summits and events
Requirements
3-5 years of HR/People experience required, preferably in a retail environment.
Experience working with all classes of employees. Full time, part time, exempt, and non-exempt.
Strong understanding of employee relations with a history of supporting the employee experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Understanding of employment labor laws, across all states
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail
Strong collaborator across teams and functions at all levels of the organization
Significant breadth of understanding of functional HR roles and responsibilities and impact on the business
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Retail HR experience (preferred)
Experience with California non-exempt employees (preferred)
Familiarity with HR systems and tools especially ADP Workforce Now (preferred)
Bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish - verbal and written (preferred)
Knowledge of federal and state labor laws (preferred)
