About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the German market, including market expansion, user acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Lead and manage all aspects of local operations such as marketing campaigns, industry events and partnership development.
- Drive brand awareness and engagement through targeted marketing initiatives, social media channels (including German-language platforms), and community events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, local financial institutions, and industry partners.
- Navigate and ensure compliance with EU regulatory requirements (MiCAR, MiFID, EMI).
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in Germany to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and compliance, to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the local team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in a similar role, with at least 10 years of experience in marketing and/or business development.
- Prior experience as a crypto country manager or in the cryptocurrency industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the German market, consumer behavior, and regulatory landscape (MiCA, MiFID, EMI).
- Established network within the DACH crypto and fintech ecosystem is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-oriented business mindset with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
- Fluent in German and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
