About the role
- Lead and execute complex design initiatives that span multiple product areas
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive and shape product vision and strategy
- Define and inform the user experience of critical customer journeys
- Partner with Design Systems teams to create scalable patterns and components
- Conduct in-depth analysis of user needs and business requirements
- Participate in all project phases, including planning, strategy, execution, QA, and retrospectives
- Act as a thought leader in product design, mentoring other designers and contributing to a culture of innovation and experimentation
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience designing consumer-facing products for web and mobile
- Proven ability to design at scale, creating reusable patterns and components
- Strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and other XFN teams
- Experience driving design strategy and contributing to product roadmaps
- Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
- Experience conducting user research studies and leveraging insights to inform design decisions
- Low ego, collaborative, open-minded
- Nice to haves: Previous design experience in FinTech or crypto; Familiarity with the cryptocurrency ecosystem and Coinbase products; Platform experience
