Economic Development Analyst

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct analysis of regional economic conditions including industry mix, employment trends, and small business activity.
- Analyze key sectors and identify emerging economic opportunities and underserved markets.
- Evaluate support systems such as lenders, incubators, and workforce programs to identify service gaps.
- Translate economic data into actionable insights supporting planning and strategy development.
- Provide market and economic inputs for the CDFI business plan including demand and target market analysis.
- Support collection of insights during stakeholder engagement activities and assist in synthesis of findings.
- Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and findings consistent with project requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience required.
- Experience in economic analysis, market research, or regional planning;
- Strong analytical and research skills;
- Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively
- Certifications Not required, but analytical or economic certifications preferred.
- Highly Valued Certifications Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) or similar credentials.
