Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with, oversee and help develop junior accounting professionals within the Fresh team.
Review team member work product.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Maintain and improve processes to support monthly close activities and internal controls.
Support the Controller in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Perform financial statement fluctuation/variance analyses.
Support the consolidated audit, through the preparation/review and compilation/submission of auditor requests.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to improve financial processes and systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisor experience.
Experience in public accounting or a similar industry is a plus.
