About the role

  • You coordinate the quality topics of the “Welded Stainless Steel Pipes” business unit within an interdisciplinary project team along the entire process chain
  • You define standards such as quality rounds on the shop floor, timelines and action plans, or a unified defect management approach using 8D reports, FMEA, Ishikawa diagrams or comparable methods
  • Together with colleagues from administration and production, you analyze and standardize existing processes, identify weaknesses and work on continuous improvement
  • You maintain the business unit’s quality manual and continuously expand and develop it; you prepare forms, work instructions and process descriptions
  • You design training sessions, briefings and workshops to raise awareness of quality topics among employees and managers and conduct these independently
  • You are responsible for the comprehensive documentation of implemented improvements and measures and for their visualization within the specialist departments
  • You develop key performance indicators, prepare reports and are responsible for regular reporting; you communicate quality objectives and measures across all levels
  • You act as the contact person for your area of expertise for business partners, certification bodies and internal departments and manage communications with them
  • You are responsible for the preparation, execution and follow-up of internal and external audits

Requirements

  • Completed technical degree such as industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or production engineering
  • Alternatively: Completed technical or commercial vocational training with job-specific further qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in quality management with demonstrable success in implementation
  • Knowledge of LEAN management and change management desirable
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Confident user of MS Office — ideally complemented by experience with SAP
  • Good written and spoken English (at least B-level / CEFR)
