About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform daily support for applications and users
  • Troubleshoot user issues, CICD pipelines, scripting issues, and cloud services
  • Review system and application logs, and verify completion of automated processes
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization as required
  • Work with project teams to document and deploy new projects
  • Provision and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Research, develop, and implement innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Maintain and contribute to our knowledge base and documentation
  • Influence broader technology groups in adopting Cloud technologies, processes, and best practices
  • Creative thinking and proposing solutions to grow our business by delighting our clients
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree
  • 4+ years of Linux systems administration and configuration experience
  • Strong scripting skills – Python / Bash preferred
  • 2+ years of cloud experience – AWS preferred (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM and CloudWatch)
  • 2+ years of experience with Gitlab/Github/Bitbucket or similar code management/deployment technologies
  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of automating infrastructure builds utilizing tools such as Cloudformation, AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), Ansible or Puppet
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration tools such as AWS Fargate
  • Highly motivated, Innovative, self-directed thinker with an eagerness to stay up to date with current trends and a desire to impress
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
