About the role

  • Align Businessolver's mission and vision with customer success through strategic product work
  • Develop and execute the strategy and roadmap for payroll software, translating market and customer needs into requirements and ensuring product compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Identify and prioritize key product features that address customer needs and drive feature development
  • Drive growth initiatives and scaling efforts to expand product market presence and support growth
  • Collaborate with Research and Development teams to establish and execute a strategic experimentation process and run experiments informing product decisions
  • Deliver tangible value to customers by leveraging data-driven insights and compelling storytelling throughout the product lifecycle
  • Build and maintain a 2-3 year product roadmap aligned with business objectives and market needs
  • Collaborate with Technical Product Managers to gather business requirements and set up post-launch outcome monitoring (KPIs)
  • Implement closed loop feedback loops (content/collateral experiments) to drive user behaviors and outcomes
  • Manage and evolve KPIs to measure product effectiveness and provide insights for product marketing, pricing, and market comparisons
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure product success and drive market growth

Requirements

  • 4+ years business analysis or product management experience
  • 2+ years payroll system experience and understanding of complexities
  • 2+ years of experience in Research and Development for software products related to payroll, ACA compliance, BenAdmin or financial related systems (ideal but not a hard requirement)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, computer science, engineering) is required; Advanced degree or MBA is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a focus on market-facing products leveraging API integrations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills and a track record of developing and executing successful product strategies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with market research techniques and competitive analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving market trends
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
