About the role
- Excels at influencing the channel on building relationships with partners and prospective partners to develop a robust pipeline of prospects
- Partner with Sales Support staff and the Marketing team and successfully collaborate with all internal departments on all aspects of client facing activities and deal pursuits
- Work with their assigned internal Business Development Resource to create and execute an efficient and effective territory plan
- Understand and communicate benefits outsourcing strategy including industry trends, plan design, consumer benefits, benefits administration, and SaaS platform solutions
- Work with sales operations to ensure we are leveraging the right data and derived insights to define market opportunity
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
- Identify and travel to marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working in a channel sales role
- Preference for someone who has experience working for or with top 10 brokerage houses
- Knowledge of sales promotion techniques
- Proven ability to persuade and influence others consistently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Travel required
- Relationship building experience necessary
