Assist attorneys in employment law matters, including workplace disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, wage & hour violations, and compliance matters.
Support personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, workplace injuries, and wrongful death claims.
Conduct legal research on employment and personal injury laws, statutes, and case precedents.
Draft and prepare legal documents such as demand letters, pleadings, discovery responses, employment contracts, and settlement agreements.
Organize and manage case files, deadlines, and attorney calendars to ensure timely filings and compliance.
Assist with discovery processes, including document review, deposition summaries, and evidence gathering for both employment and personal injury cases.
Coordinate witness interviews, expert consultations, depositions, and trial preparation.
Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progression.
Assist in litigation support, including e-filing in state and federal courts.
Review and summarize medical records, employment documents, and other relevant evidence.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification from an accredited program.
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in employment law, and personal injury experience in Texas.
Language: Proficiency in both English and Spanish would be mandatory.
Strong knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and labor law regulations.
Familiarity with personal injury case processes, including demand drafting, settlement negotiations, and litigation support.
Proficiency in legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case management software.
Excellent legal writing, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
Experience with e-discovery, document review, and trial preparation.
Strong client service skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
