About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

design, build, deploy, and maintain complex full-stack features
own features from technical discovery through production and ongoing optimization
design scalable solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while promoting best practices
partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Engineers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
improve application performance, scalability, observability, and production reliability
mentor other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance
contribute to both automated and manual testing practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional software development experience
strong expertise building modern web applications across frontend and backend technologies
strong production experience with Ruby on Rails, API development, and scalable backend architectures
deep understanding of distributed systems, databases (SQL and NoSQL), performance optimization, and software architecture principles
experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control, and building reliable production systems
proactive mindset with excellent communication skills, strong product thinking, and the ability to work autonomously in cross-functional teams
experience supporting and mentoring other engineers while contributing to technical decision-making and engineering culture
