About the role
- Perform comprehensive evaluations to gauge clients' aptitudes, interests, values, and transferable skills while identifying areas for enhancement.
- Liaise with employment specialists, job developers, and HR managers to synchronize efforts and broker deals furthering clients' career objectives.
- Identify job vacancies that match clients' profiles and assist with applications, interviews, and necessary arrangements for success.
- Advocate for reasonable workplace accommodations that consider functional limitations and remove barriers for clients.
- Provide ongoing training through workshops and courses while keeping abreast of industry trends and acquiring new competencies.
- Instruct clients in essential soft skills including communication, time management, teamwork, and leadership.
- Equip clients with rudimentary computer skills and optimize their technology use for effective job searching.
- Coach clients in financial planning, including budgeting, savings, and retirement provisioning.
- Educate clients on wellness maintenance, covering topics such as stress management and healthy lifestyle choices.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent certificate is required; an associate’s or bachelor's degree in an applicable field from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Preferred experience in rehabilitation, employment services, case management, or social services.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
