About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and implement sourcing strategy for medium-to-large sized categories
- Manage the sourcing (RFx, RFI, RFP, reverse auction, negotiations) and evaluations processes
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies and events for assigned spend areas (Finance, HR, IT Corporate Systems, Legal, Marketing, and Strategy)
- Manage contract negotiation process (pricing, key terms, etc.) and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Perform advanced analysis to support the Procurement and Sourcing process
- Maintain and manage existing contracts as well as the contract review process using contract management software, Coupa
- Interface with relevant business partners (VP, Director, and Manager levels) for procurement support
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers and work collaboratively to resolve ongoing issues and promote continuous improvement/cost reductions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance or Business
- 5-7 years of experience of indirect IT procurement or similar analytical role (finance, merchandising, planning)
- At least 3 years of vendor management or contract management/negotiation
- Firm understanding of procurement best practices and emerging trends
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) is a plus
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) is a plus
- Certified Professional Purchasing Consultant (CPPC) is a plus
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
- Strong understanding of negotiation techniques, strategies, and possesses the skills required to execute
- In-depth knowledge of the sourcing process
- Strong command and understanding of fundamental analytical techniques
- Experience with managing high value (multi-million dollar), high visibility sourcing initiatives
- Demonstrated contract negotiation experience across a range of services and commodities
- Experience with interpreting and drafting contractual terms
- Experience with developing and implementing successful cost saving initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen understanding of relevant cost drivers
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in achieving or beating challenging goals
- Procurement systems knowledge, specifically Coupa, is a plus
