About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for general ledger account analysis, journal entry preparation, accrual calculations and forecasting
  • Provide audit, research, reporting and analysis of the organization’s payroll
  • Perform monthly close, workpapers and analysis for financial accounting
  • Prepare journal entries and accrual calculations
  • Develop schedules and reports to conduct variance analysis and investigate variances
  • Ensure data integrity by identifying errors/trends in accounting data
  • Partner with FP&A to determine how plans/forecasts are calculated
  • Analyze and review forecast to actual results on consolidated level
  • Conduct reconciliations and balancing between third-party tax reports and payroll tax summary reports
  • Maintain accurate documentation of PR elections & exemptions and reciprocity rules
  • Create and monitor pre- and post-payroll reports; audit daily reports and provide findings to management
  • Assist Sr. Accountant in responding to internal and external audit requests
  • Assist with routine/ad-hoc reporting and various administrative tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-2 years of payroll/accounting experience
  • Proficient or Advanced in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Proficient in Workday, ADP SmartCompliance
  • Knowledge of Accounting/Payroll including process, procedures and internal controls
  • Strong analysis, research and audit skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Power BI experience a plus
  • Adaptive financial software experience a plus
