Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals (including GAAP and Federal/State Tax books)
Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger with the general ledger
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to fixed assets
Prepare and review depreciation schedules and journal entries
Manage and mentor fixed asset accounting staff
Prepare annual depreciation budget, monthly forecast projections along with 5- and 10-year projections for both GAAP and tax books
Analyze capital expenditures and provide reporting to support financial planning and decision-making
Partner with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure proper asset classification and tracking and resolve discrepancies between physical asset inventories and fixed assets ledger
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures for asset management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on fixed assets
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and fixed asset management principles
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fixed Assets, Oracle Projects preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools such as Cognos Analytics and Noetix Views
