About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Accurately process, organise, and maintain patient medical records within our electronic health record (EHR) system
Ensure all medical records are complete, up-to-date, and compliant with data protection regulations and internal policies
Handle the secure retrieval and release of medical information to patients, healthcare providers, and other authorised parties, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols
Scan, index, and file clinical documentation and correspondence correctly
Conduct regular quality assurance audits on medical records to ensure their integrity and accuracy
Respond to internal and external enquiries regarding medical records in a professional and timely manner
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure a seamless flow of information

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience as a Medical Records Clerk or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
A strong understanding of medical terminology, data protection principles, and patient confidentiality
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous level of attention to detail
The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively in a remote environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working within a fast-paced emergency care environment is desirable but not essential.
