About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for leading the direction, completion, and outcome of all assigned building assessment projects
- Conducts client facing on-site assessments and prepares written reports
- Reviews previous assessment reports, historical and regulatory records for properties
- Owns communication with local Building, Zoning, and/or Fire Departments
- Conducts various types of building assessments
- Prepares written reports using collected information
- Leverages professional/technical expertise and judgment in developing project plans
- Acts as technical lead, providing guidance and technical direction for specialized projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in related field; minimum of three years of related experience
- In lieu of degree, five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license required with clean driving record
- Current AHERA, Asbestos Inspector Certification, or OSHA-40-hour certification preferred
- Proficient in operating a computer, having knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and project management software
- Understanding of construction materials and methods, environmental concerns, cost estimating, and industry standards
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders within the organization and business units
- Time management, active listening, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
