About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Project Engineer – MEP is responsible for design, engineering, automation, installation, and commissioning of conveyor and material handling systems.
- Develop 3D models and 2D layouts for conveyor and material handling systems using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or NX.
- Program, configure, and test PLCs (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley or equivalent).
- Supervise and support on-site installation of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Analyze system performance and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for failures.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to execute project activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate Engineer BE/ B.Tech (Electrical /Mechanical) with min. 3 to 10 years or Diploma with 6-13 years of relevant experience in Automation/Conveyor Systems.
- Knowledge of PLC & HMI programming, industrial automation, and conveyor systems is desirable.
- Exposure to MEP installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software is preferred.
- Working knowledge of QA/QC requirements related to MEP and automation works.
- Awareness of applicable electrical and safety codes (NEC, ANSI, OSHA or equivalent).
