About the role
- Prepare inspection plan
- Perform data acquisition missions on offshore units and ships
- Issue the corresponding reports in the agreed format
- Support trainee drone surveyors in developing their piloting skills
- Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendation
- The employee shall comply with applicable legal requirements and Bureau Veritas health & safety policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Remote pilot certificate
- At least 2 years of experience in piloting caged drones in marine and offshore environments;
- Experience with Flyability Elios 3 drone is a plus.
- UT measurements via drone experience preferred
- Having skills in piloting caged drones to collect visual and 3D data in GPS denied environments
- Basic understanding of ship and offshore structures; drone systems, and maintenance program
- Organization, rigor, enthusiasm for new technology, team collaboration, autonomy
- Fluent English communication with customers, and our internal teams
- Keen to travel offshore in Africa
- Ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Good business acumen
