About the role
- Act as the Bureau Veritas headquarters’ point of contact with Authorities on regulatory and statutory policy matters
- Represent Bureau Veritas on various regional and national committees
- Develop and maintain internal statutory procedures and instructions related to inland navigation
- Collaborate with the IT Department to develop and update inspection checklists for in-service vessels
- Contribute to the design and delivery of internal training dedicated to inland navigation
- Support the global network of inspectors on statutory interpretations
- Publish regulatory updates for our clients relating to inland navigation legislation
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent (engineering school or similar)
- Good knowledge of classification processes and the statutory regulatory framework, especially legislation applicable to inland navigation
- Rigour, analytical mindset and strong writing skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work autonomously and a strong sense of responsibility
- Fluent English, written and spoken, essential in an international environment
