Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is the standard requirement.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in industrial, power, or energy projects is typically required.
  • Specific experience in the design, operation, maintenance, and repair of rotating machinery, including turbines, generators, pumps, and compressors, is essential.
  • Profound understanding of steam turbine dynamics, including rotor and blade life management, vibration, balancing, and alignment.
  • Knowledge of specialized repair techniques such as welding on rotor journals, seal strip replacement, and blade path assessments.
  • Understanding the unique challenges of geothermal steam, which is often wet and contains corrosive chemicals, necessitating knowledge of appropriate material selection and corrosion/erosion mitigation.
