About the role
- Set up and manage Building Control projects using Deltek, from initial appointment to final certification
- Ensure accurate project details including site inspection office, Local Authority, and fee recipient
- Prepare and manage documentation such as fee proposals, legal notices, inspection reports, and consultations
- Generate reports to support management and technical teams with performance tracking and reminders
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors regarding Building Regulation applications
- Provide administrative support across the business unit and wider Bureau Veritas UK network
- Maintain ICT systems, databases, and document management platforms
- Log site inspections and update project records for the surveying team
- Handle incoming calls and enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Assist with complaint handling and ensure responses are logged per company policy
- Prioritise and manage incoming emails and post for the business unit
- Support internal training events, team briefings, and office management duties
- Attend and assist with internal and external meetings
- Ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas procedures, including SOPs and KPIs
- Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure accurate invoicing and contract management
- Support debt recovery efforts and provide training to new staff on administrative processes
- Undertake other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements
- Proven administration experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information securely
- Excellent customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Deltek or similar systems
- Minimum of GCSEs in Mathematics and English
- Experience in the construction sector or a similar administrative role.
