About the role
- Responsible for Environment sustainability
- Monitor waste management, dust control, noise levels, and water quality
- Implement pollution prevention and environmental protection measures
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and monitoring
- Develop and implement project-specific EHS policies, procedures, and protocols
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans
- Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws, building codes, and safety standards
- Organize and conduct mandatory safety training and toolbox talks for all personnel
- Maintain safety records, documentation, and statistics
- Responsible for Rehabilitation Works
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and government agencies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing EHS regulations
- Prepare audit reports and compliance documentation
- Lead and mentor the EHS team
- Collaborate with project management, contractors, and subcontractors
- Communicate EHS expectations to all stakeholders
- Foster a strong safety culture across the project
Requirements
- BE/B.Tech – Civil
- Preferable Masters in Environmental Engineering
- More than 10 years’ experience in Zone Safety Assignments
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws and compliance
- Expertise in EMP implementation and environmental monitoring
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Ability to conduct audits and investigations
- Communication skills for training and stakeholder coordination
