About the role
- Entry level analyst position in a fast-paced industrial hygiene laboratory.
- The analyst is responsible for the set-up of client samples for analysis, the preparation of samples using organic solvents or concentrated acids, and general laboratory housekeeping.
- Once this goal is accomplished, the analyst will learn how to interpret X-ray diffraction diffractogram data and how to report sample results.
- Organization and time management are very important qualities for this role.
- This is a full-time position.
- Weekend and evening overtime may be required to meet client demands, due to a turnaround time deadline.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with a science focus is required.
- Must be comfortable working with chemicals.
- Familiarity/experience with basic laboratory equipment (pipettes, balances, funnel apparatuses, and fume hoods) is necessary.
- Attention to detail and patience with repetitive work is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is expected.
