About the role
- Lead the planning and execution of technology and information security-focused assurance activities across Bupa’s businesses in accordance with our methodology, processes and procedures.
- Engage with key stakeholders, building rapport and keeping them informed throughout each audit.
- Identify control weaknesses and opportunities for control improvement, providing appropriate findings to a high standard.
- Write and present high-quality audit reports.
- Champion data analytics and visualisation in all audit stages, enhancing insights and growing GIA’s capabilities.
- Take responsibility for planning audits and developing the audit programme, preparing all relevant audit papers and reports and presenting to the business.
- Review and analyse information, identifying matters for further investigation and follow-up.
- Apply your technical and specialist skills to continuously support and innovate in GIA.

Requirements
- Strong technical skills and experience in an audit environment; being able to recognise what constitutes a good audit, including knowledge of risk management, audit methods and techniques.
- Experience of working in an Internal Audit function is desirable, as is experience of the insurance and/or healthcare industry.
- Current, in-depth knowledge of technology and information security risks, controls, and industry best practices, including technology / cybersecurity frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, CSA CCM, and ISO standards.
- CISA, CISA, CCAK, CCSK, CISSP, CCSP, or an equivalent overseas qualification is desirable.
- Strong data analytics skills; demonstratable experience of using audit data to drive meaningful insights and change.
- A governance, risk & control mindset with an understanding of the regulatory framework in which Bupa operates.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- A proactive self-starter, known for delivering on commitments and holding self and others accountable for performance.
- Acts with integrity and capable of working without supervision and guidance on a day-to-day basis.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in written and verbal presentation of audit results to stakeholders.
- A good educational record, up to degree level, is essential.
