About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from engineering handoff through production release
  • Coordinate first article inspections with contract manufacturing partners
  • Serve as the technical liaison between Product Development and suppliers during product launches
  • Review engineering drawings and provide technical support on manufacturability questions
  • Lead cross-functional launch activities with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Transportation, Marketing, and Quality
  • Create and maintain new product data, item masters, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system
  • Coordinate product cost information, landed costs, and launch readiness across departments
  • Support supplier qualification and production readiness activities
  • Maintain standardized launch documentation, project timelines, and NPI processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve launch efficiency and product commercialization processes
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support supplier and customer activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 3–7 years of experience in product development, manufacturing engineering, supply chain engineering, or New Product Introduction
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers or supplier partners
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating across cross-functional and global teams
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar
  • Experience with BOM creation, product setup, and engineering change processes is preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supplier development, or product commercialization is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5–10 times per year
