About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Primary responsibility of the Demand Planner is to analyze inventory levels on assigned accounts and or commodity item groups
Make purchases to sustain demand
Achieve a goal of 97.5% fill rate
Provide support to their assigned Inventory Management Team
Account management/Commodity Management – low to medium level of difficulty
Assist in analyzing inventory levels to forecast needs
Executes forecast changes
Issue POs manually and via AWR
Generate and maintain run out reports and open PO reports
Maintain AWR
Review and follow-up on daily and weekly reports
Follow up on open purchase orders
Expedite purchase orders as needed
Assist Supervisor in Managing turns and review of aged inventory
Coordinate New Store Programs
PPV maintenance
Investigate and resolve A/P issues
Research receiving and packaging discrepancies and proactively resolve issues
Process returns to vendors; process inventory write off paperwork for the team
Identify cost changes and work with the Supervisor to execute

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Demand Planner highly preferred
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Excellent computer, organizational and communication skills
PC proficiency including strong Excel is required; AWR is a plus.
Must be service driven and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Will need to certify in E3 at Level I and II
Travel required – Minimal
