About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Primary responsibility of the Demand Planner is to analyze inventory levels on assigned accounts and or commodity item groups
- Make purchases to sustain demand
- Achieve a goal of 97.5% fill rate
- Provide support to their assigned Inventory Management Team
- Account management/Commodity Management – low to medium level of difficulty
- Assist in analyzing inventory levels to forecast needs
- Executes forecast changes
- Issue POs manually and via AWR
- Generate and maintain run out reports and open PO reports
- Maintain AWR
- Review and follow-up on daily and weekly reports
- Follow up on open purchase orders
- Expedite purchase orders as needed
- Assist Supervisor in Managing turns and review of aged inventory
- Coordinate New Store Programs
- PPV maintenance
- Investigate and resolve A/P issues
- Research receiving and packaging discrepancies and proactively resolve issues
- Process returns to vendors; process inventory write off paperwork for the team
- Identify cost changes and work with the Supervisor to execute
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Demand Planner highly preferred
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Excellent computer, organizational and communication skills
- PC proficiency including strong Excel is required; AWR is a plus.
- Must be service driven and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Will need to certify in E3 at Level I and II
- Travel required – Minimal
